ECR Spotlight is a series of interviews with early-career authors from selection papers published in Journal Experimental Biology and aims to promote not only the diversity researchers (ECRs) working experimental biology during our centenary year but also huge variety animals physiological systems that are essential for ‘comparative’ approach. Chloé Chabaud an author on ‘ Prey consumption does restore hydration state mitigates energetic costs water deprivation insectivorous lizard’, JEB. conducted research described this article while PhD student Jean-François Le Galliard Olivier Lourdais's lab at Sorbonne Université La Rochelle Université, France. She now post-doc Natasha Tigreros The University Arizona, Tucson, USA, investigating evolutionary ecology physiology interspecific relationships under climate change.
